The “Australian Masters” are a group of people, generally thirty plus some, young at heart, that get together to enjoy the ski racing as well as getting together after a days skiing. Participants come from all mountains in Australia to compete.

The Australian Masters Ski Association (AMSA) will be launching a new annual racing competition for both male and female members, to select winners in each of the three disciplines. Winners will be determined using a points system based on result in eligible races. Eligible races are:
THREDBO MASTERS GS
MT BULLER CUP GS
VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS SL & GS
PERISHER MASTERS SL, GS & S
AMSA HOTHAM MEETING SL, GS & SG
Members competing in the eligible races will be able to earn GP points. It will be necessary to complete at least one discipline race in NSW and one in Victoria, with the championships being calculated from the best result in each state. Points will only be awarded to registered AMSA members, according finishing positions in their respective age groups.
Age Categories are: 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 + YEARS
Points System: 1st 25 points, 2nd 20points, 3rd 18 points, 4th 16 points, 5th 15 points & from 6th place down will reduce by 1 point per place until 16th place.
Note a member will race against all participants in an event, but compete for points against other AMSA members.
