XTM Performance is the result of a brainstorming session between three hugely influential figures within the Australian snow scene, lifetime owner Pete “Fozza” Forras, NSW’s snowy cowboy Gary “X” Rae and the salmon of knowledge Bill “the Uncle” Dalton. The three decided that they wanted to create a brand that would change the face of Australia’s snow sports industry and show the world Australia is a country to be taken seriously in winter sports. Snow Australia is the nationally and internationally recognised National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for competitive snow sports in Australia. Snow Australia is affiliated with the Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS), the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), and the Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) and is recognised by Sport Australia (SA). Snow Australia manages athlete pathways and conducts events and programs in Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Snowboarding, Para-alpine, Para-snowboard and specialty sub-discipline activities within each. Snow Australia has the overarching responsibility for the entire national athlete pathway, from entry-level through to elite, across all disciplines.
