Technical Coach - Alpine
Brief info

Eric's journey in ski racing began at a young age, culminating in competitive national and international level performances levels before transitioning to coaching. His passion for the sport, combined with a deep understanding of modern ski technique makes Eric a perfect fit for our team. Eric will be leading the FIS program for 2024.

  • Home mountain : Saelen, Sweden
  • Coaching Philosophy : I believe in creating a positive environment that encourages athletes to develop their own ability to understand alpine skiing. To understand the reason behind all the freeskiing drills, gates, physical training and define goals for the season. I am also very active myself in showing drills and even smashing some gates from time to time to better understand the sport.
  • Favourite sport (outside of skiing): Golf
  • Favourite food: Kebabpizza
  • Weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten: Traditional Swedish Surstromming or fermented herring (not good)
  • Worst ski crash: Fractured my back on a slushy day in the park during my FIS years (would not recommend)
  • 5 things that are always in your fridge: Ketchup, eggs, butter, milk and bbq sauce
  • What’s the one that you couldn’t live without : AirPods
  • Who would you invite to a dinner party : Kendrick Lamar
  • Favourite ski area : St.Anton, Austria
  • Stand out ski memory: First time skiing in New Zealand
  • Why did you choose to be a ski coach: I wasn’t quite done with alpine racing after I quit my own career, so I decided to remain in the slopes as a coach and I love it!
