Brief info
Leonie’s family has been involved with TeamHotham since 2019. The Clark family adventured across to the unknown from Falls Creek seeking an SBX program for their older son, Rhett, and thus set up residence in DinnerPlain.
As Leonie would be here for the entire winter she felt it was appropriate that her younger skiing children should become TeamHotham athletes.
Owen, ‘O’ man can be seen skiing with the U/16 Alpine athletes and Gwen, ‘Girff’ will be skiing the slopes with U/12 Alpine.
Leonie grew up skiing from a young age at Falls Creek, being a part of a small lodge called ‘Ascom’. Her love of Snowsports influenced her to continue the passion her father instilled, by starting her own children skiing from 3 yrs old. Now being fully immersed in the Hotham/DinnerPlain life she wanted to give back, thus joining the TeamHotham Committee.
Leonie’s organisational skills and hard-working can-do attitude is most likely from gaining her qualification as a Fitter & Turner, whilst working in a male-dominated industry at BHP Western port for 13 years. Also raising 5 children makes her wonderful at multitasking!
Leonie is looking forward to meeting new families and welcoming back returning families to our wonderful community that is TeamHotham.
